The strongest single heritage address in the story. The village’s cooperative, Pjover association, festival culture and historic terraces make it the most meaningful starting point.

Stari Grad hinterland
Dry-stone agricultural terraces explain the island’s older working landscape. Lavender was historically cultivated on cascading fields above and around the plain.

Inland Hvar
Brusje, Malo Grablje and the old road network provide context for lavender, rosemary, stone walls and the agricultural history beyond Hvar Town.
05 · Eastern Hvar
Zastražišće
Visit Jelsa describes the area as a fragrant garden of olives, vines, immortelle and lavender — a useful reminder that the aromatic landscape extends eastward.
